Peru Update.

Okay, so i´ve been in Peru for almost two weeks now.
It´s a slow morning, and most people are asleep so I thought that i´d update.
ANYWHO.
First night we got here at around 11 at my mom´s friend´s house.
My sister and I hung out with his son Rodrigo until about three.
Then we went to bed and the next morning was spent running around Lima, buying tickets for Mancora, and finalizing our Peruvian citizenship.
(NOTE, they use IE for browsing, yuck, so I don´t have spell check. apologies for any mistakes.)
Also, my mom had somehow managed to forget her suitcase in the airport, so it was a whole mess getting that back. (that guy we talked with was a DOUCHE MASTER. )
I also ate guinea pig, because my friends make fun of Peru for that, and it´s an experience.
It really wásn´t great, and I felt bad/kinda sick about it later.
We didn´t sleep at all that night. We had a flight to catch to Puira (A small town near the coast of Peru) at three in the morning.
We got on the plane, and an hour later was in Puira.
My mom´s friend was staying in a hotel there waiting for us, so we hung out by the pool for like, 7 hours. XD
Still, no sleep.
So for the first two days on vacation I got MAYBE, three hours of sleep.
We then took a 2 and a half hour van ride where I didn´t sleep, (but thank goodness my iPod battery held up) to our actual beach house near the small and shitty town of Mancora.
If you didn´t know, the vacation members consist of my mom, Kayla(sister), Piero(brother), Karyn(brothers girlfriend), Jenny(brother´s friend) and I.
The house is RIDICULOUS. It´s huge, and the rooms are so nice.

I stayed in the blue house.
We messed around in the hammocks and ocean for a while, and then at five I decided to take a nap until things started happening.
...that nap lasted until 9 the next morning.
The next day was filled with beachy fun, and drinking.
I tried some, got a little buzz. Didn´t care for it.
Kayla on the other hand got pretty drunk, and spent the night cuddling with our cousin cooing "Me Primo! I don´t see you enoughhhhhhh."
Nexy day, beach shenanigans.
I actually got stung by a jellyfish, it was most ridiculous.
And hurt like a motherfucker. I hate jellyfish.
And for all you reading, NO, I did not have someone pee on it. I put lime juice.
Kayla got stung too, ALL UP IN HER ARM.
Also we went horseback riding down the beach, so that was fun too.
Next and last full day we went to some other beach where I collected a straight up RIDICULOUS amount of seashells.
They´re pretty though, and most of them are like, ashtray sized.
They will be distributed as suveniors.
That night we played sardines, and I got kind of upset for a reason that I don´t care to talk about, and went to bed early.
Next day we left.
Back in Lima we had a couple days spent visiting family.
Also my Piero, Karyn, Jenny and I went to this pirated movie place. Where I found all the anime that I ever wanted for dirt cheap.
Bad part, turns out it was all in Spainish subs. :c
Good thing I didn´t buy it.
But I did by a Vegeta figurine for the eqivelant(i cán´t not put sp here) of five American dollars.
Next day we had a lazy day at the House of Hiyme(Jenny joke).
Until night, where we went to the fountains in Peru. (The Greatest Fountians in the World!)
It was neat, and Rodrigo and I were the first to go into this maze they have where it can randomly shoot water up at you.
I was dry, until Rodrigo got hit, and procedded to hug me in what I assume was shock.
Then shit got damp.
Jenny and Marten(Rodrigo´s brother) came in with us for a round two.
Jenny got drenched within a minute, and Marten accidently stood directly above a fountain.
It was fun.
That brings us to yesterday, where we went to the Indian Market and bought suveniors.
All my close friends are accounted for, and I even got stuff for myself.
(this includes six llama pins)
I also got 10 llama fingerpuppets, and fingerless gloves. I think you can all assume what i´m gonna do.
This winter´s gonna be rad. Oh wait, it is winter in Lima, and FREEZING BALLS.
That night there was a party here, once again, something made me upset. And I went to bed early (1am).
My mom then woke me up at like, 4 and asked why I had been crying.
Not a happy question to be woken up for.
So today I guess we´re going to a BBQ.
I´ll update again sometime, but I´ve been writing this for over an hour and need to get rolling.

VIVA LA PERU!

And so I leave my house in central IL,
with nothing but my three ridiculously huge suitcases, and the shirt on my back. (Including my Viva La Stewart shirt which probably explains the title.)
But something felt unfinished,
my eyes were wide as I lurched forward.
"No!" I cried out, "My blog! MY BLOGG!"
I tore through the stampede of family members and suitcases, thinking of only my computer dearest, no longer the travel ahead of me.
Fingers trembling ever so slightly, I lifted my computer screen.
It lit up with pure glee at my arrival.
Typed in my password, almost salivating with the mere thought of writing this entry.
Brought up Google Chrome(FTW), waiting those few agonizing seconds for it to start up.
youraverageannika.blogspot.com was hurriedly typed in the address bar, my fingers flying over the keyboard.
New Post! Yes! The moment of truth!
I let out a childish giggle as I typed....and this..was born.

Movies, Anime Week, and Peru.

And you guys may have thought that my last few posts were late.
Sorry for not posting anything earlier, i've been pretty busy trying to hang out with friends this week.
IE Friendship had their Anime Week this week, although it was pretty much just Catherinee, Belle, and I fucking around at my or Catherine's house.
We did get around to watching 1.5 episodes of School Days and making a Youtube channel.

Why am I being so social this week you may ask?
That's because starting this Wednesday, I will be in PERU until August 2nd.
This means limited internet, which also means that I won't be Blogging very often is at all.
But I will be having QUITE THE BITCHING TIME.
I'm going to wait to go see The Last Airbender in theaters when I go to Peru.
Hooray for getting your mom's friend's sons to take you somewhere. ; D
I have a feeling that I am in for quite the disappointment though.
Reviews were HORRID, and I was already pretty skeptical due to the previews.

He was pretty good in Slumdog Millionaire, but does not fit Zuko.

Also I heard that the pronunciation was HORRID, and that Sokka was not close to the comic relief he was in the series.
I am a HUGE ATLA fan, so i'm going to super nit picky.

My friend Jill and I also went to go see Toy Story 3 last week.
I grew up with the Toy Story movies, so I was sorta sad to see one that will probably be the last one.
It was such a good movie, I cried.
Besides my tears, I really don't have much left to say about it.
GOOD MOVIE. GO SEE IT. PLAY WITH YOUR OLD TOYS WHEN YOU GET HOME.
I have tons more packing to do, so this is the end of my blog.
